Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation for the installation of a Civil War marker at the Ankers Family Memorial Garden. The marker commemorates the Civil War battle of Anker’s Shop, also known as the Second Battle of Dranesville. ($650)

Loudoun Heritage Farm Museum for publication of a driving tour brochure identifying known sites in Loudoun with a relationship to the War of 1812. ($2,800)

Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation (Morven Park) for conservation of the portrait of Governor Westmoreland Davis’s maternal grandfather. ($2,500)

Mosby Heritage Area Association for the reprinting of the “Mosby Heritage Area Sampler—A Motoring Tour in the Northern Virginia Countryside.” ($2,245)

St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg for conservation and re-installation of the 1936 altar rail and recreation of polychrome painted pews. ($4,207)

Waterford Foundation for printing of a new publication, “A Pocket Guide to Civil War Sites in Waterford.” ($1,500)

Thomas Balch Library for the preservation of 506 WAGE Radio audio tapes on the life and culture of Loudoun from 1950 to 1990. The Library received the special Catherine Boyd Grant Award of $5,000.

Loudoun County Board of Supervisors for the research and writing of the National Register nomination for the Arcola School. ($5,000)
