Oatlands for plaster and other repairs occasioned by the August 2011 earthquake that struck the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Oatlands was built in 1804 by George Carter, one of the wealthiest men of his day and was descended from one of Virginia’s first families.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Loudoun to partially fund needed repairs to the church roof. The church was built in 1890 by former slaves from the nearby Oatlands Plantation and has served as a religious facility, a meeting place for mutual aid societies and the center of community life.
